Here’s who made Hawaii a laughingstock this week

When you read the headlines and learned that “Hawaii lawmakers create ‘Islam Day‘” did you find yourself incredulous? Did you react as I did and wonder, “With all the pressing problems we have in this state right now, with the real issues screaming for attention, with homeless people living in the Waikiki parks that are void of cash-infusing visitors, who were the geniuses who thought it a valuable use of Legislature time to select one of the more than 2,000 organized religions on the planet (one practiced by about 3,000 Hawaii residents… that’s 2/10 of 1% of the population!) and single out that religion for honor?”

There are individual congregations of Christians and, for that matter, Buddhists, in Hawaii larger than the entire Islamic practitioner constituency of Hawaii. I suspect there are more PAGANS or Rastafarians in Hawaii than Muslims, yet no honor was similarly bestowed upon those groups. So, I found myself asking what on earth were the originators of this resolution thinking, and who was responsible for it?

Ask them yourself.

Below you will find the photos and names of the 3 Hawaii State Representatives responsible, and their contact information.
