“Needs” is not really the right word

There are people with genuine needs. LOTS of people with genuine needs, actually, so I am hesitant to even attach that word to the list I am making, but I don’t exactly know what to call the list… so, needs it is.

Not MY needs; I am blessed beyond measure, and have pretty much what I need and a lot of what I want. These are things our church, REUNION, needs. I am not putting this out asking for donations, or trying to guilt anyone into giving us stuff. I believe in the favor of the Lord, and that God can and will provide what we need, and that expressing specifically the desires of our heart is better than being vague.

• REUNION needs a better way to handle our church-in-a-box set-up. Our current box truck is in need of repair, and requires a CDL to drive. In a perfect world we would have an on-site storage container at the venue; if that is not possible, a smaller liftgate truck that doesn’t require a CDL would be perfect.

• Our 5+ year old projector has been repaired so often it is almost funny, and it’s on its last legs. We need — actually — TWO new matching projectors and screens so we can do dual projection on both sides of the auditorium in sync.

• We are the LAST group from the Windward Olelo production center using non-HD cameras for our weekly service video production. The limitation is our older, analog, MX-1 Video switchers. We need to upgrade to something digital… we do IMAG projection of the song lyrics, video roll-ins, and the speaker, record for editing and later broadcast, and stream live. It’s not cheap.

The total of al that? Don’t even want to think about it! On the low end, it’s maybe $20,000-$25,000 and we don’t have 10% of that available. But God does.
