Command Sergeant Major (U.S. Army, retired) Chester A. Potter — Sam — will be honored in Huntsville Alabama with a Memorial Service on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Sam passed away while in in-home hospice care at his residence in Kaneohe Hawaii on August 25, 2021 soon after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
The Schedule:
1:00 PM — Lunch at Mastin Lake Church of God of Prophecy hosted/provided by the church, located at 2713 Mastin Lake Road, Huntsville
2:00 PM — Memorial Service at Mastin Lake Church officiated by Bishop David Browder
3:30 PM — Graveside committal, Inurnment, and Military Honors at Valhalla Memory Gardens officiated by Bishop Daniel Gann (with assistance from Stan Clemons of Valhalla) The cemetery is located at 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville.
