What I am reading

I read a lot. Some of it is occupational: Pastors seem to collect books by the box, and I am no exception. The shelves in my office are several deep with books and it looks really messy. I also read for education, as I am back in school, working on my Masters at Fuller Seminary. The list of books every ten weeks is daunting, but doable, and there are some gems of wisdom in those books I would have missed if they had not been assigned reading.

Sometimes I read for my own personal growth and enrichment… for fun, or for the need to know. Someone asked what I was reading, so here are some titles:

* I am reading this one as the Kindle version, using the Amazon/Kindle app on my iPhone.

I highly recommend pretty much anything by Francis Chan, an inspirational, passionate leader. I have met him, spent time talking with him, observed him as a dad and a teacher, and he is the real deal. Here are some videos by Chan:

The classic is “Just Stop and Think.
The videos that accompany Crazy Love are good, also.
